Where Does the Pattern Show Best?

The black and blue forged pattern is most noticeable on the larger, relatively open panels, where the blue fragments are not just smudges or isolated spots, but rather are in a space large enough to be read as a texture.

On a curved part, different areas of the panel face the light at different angles, so the blue fragments may appear brighter in some areas and darker in others. This could result in a more broken up and active pattern than on a hood or roof.

On larger accent panels, more of the irregular blue pattern can be seen at once, while the dark base still prevents the surface from reading as a solid bright blue.

Installation and Stretch Control

The acrylic adhesive is pressure sensitive with air-release channels to minimise trapped air during installation. The film can also be repositioned when being initially placed which aids the alignment on larger panels.

The material may stretch about 30%, but controlled stretching is recommended. The spacing and look of blue pieces may alter due to strong or inconsistent stretching, especially near mirrors, bumpers and compound curves. Patterns are easier to maintain in large panels such as hoods, roofs, trunks, etc.
