NOTE:

1. Top Protective film is included only on full rolls (59ft) of gloss vinyls.

For smaller, pre-cut pieces of glossy vinyl, the protective film is removed before shipping to ensure a smooth surface without air bubbles or creases. This does not affect the quality of the vinyl.

All matte/ satin vinyl wraps do not have a protective film, as their surface is naturally resistant to minor scratches and does not require additional protection.

59ft = full roll
69ft = full roll + 10ft pre-cut
75ft = full roll + 16ft pre-cut

2. Products ordered separately may have slight color variations due to different color lots.

3. Use a bubble remover/defoamer on the surface before applying for best results.

4. CAUTION! The images, colors, and finishes on the screen are approximate. For accuracy, refer to the color book or samples.

Gloss Metallic Metal Black Vinyl Wrap

Compared with standard gloss black, Gloss Metallic Metal Black Vinyl Wrap reveals fine silver metallic texture instead of a flat, mirror-like surface. The effect stays discreet in shade but becomes clearer under garage lights, sunlight, and evening street lighting, giving daily-driven sedans and tuned builds a darker OEM+ character. Clean panel preparation matters because trapped dust and stretch marks can interrupt the uniform metallic reflection. It may not suit drivers looking for a dramatic color change or highly visible show-car finish.

Final Verdict

Many people go with Gloss Metallic Metal Black as they believe it is the safe choice. What is often surprising, is the amount of personality that this colour brings to life once it is in sunlight. The car's design does not just rely on reflections to give it presence compared to standard gloss black. Rather, the metallic particles provide depth that is more pronounced as time goes on. You might discover points that you didn't know before, particularly on curves and lines on the body.

FAQ

Q1. Is Metal Black really different from the normal gloss black?

A: Yes, but this is more apparent in person than in photographs. The metals provide subtle depth and movement when exposed to direct sunlight or parking lot lights, which a gloss black generally does not. Many owners say that it's a deeper black and not a different color.

Q2.Is piano black as hard to keep clean as Metal Black?

A: In the dark finishes, there are still dust and water spots visible, and the metallic effect also tends to reduce the ability of reflections to show light surface dust, but not as effectively as a pure piano black look. It's much easier to drive after a wash for many of the daily drivers.

Q3. What are the differences in appearance between Metal Black and Satin Black?

A: The decision often is based on personality and not maintenance. Satin Black is more subdued and quiet than Metal Black which emphasizes contours and reflections in the body. Many drivers prefer Metal Black over satin finishes for the flatter appearance.

Q4. Why is Metal Black sometimes grey in sunlight?

A: One of the most frequently encountered post-installation surprises. In certain lighting and viewing angles the particles of metal that form the coating can be seen, giving a charcoal or graphite look. Generally, it will revert to a much darker black shade in the shade or in the evening.

Q5. Which is better for luxury cars or sports cars: Metal Black?

A: Not surprisingly, it is effective on both. This enables luxurious cars to have a greater metallic reflectance and sports cars to achieve sharper body definitions. Many owners opt for it just because it feels more upscale than ordinary gloss black paint, and not so flashy.

Things You Should Know

Structure

Our wrap films consist of 4 layers designed to ensure exceptional performance:

The first layer serves as a protective barrier for the underlying vinyl.

Directly beneath, you'll find high-grade polymeric vinyl fortified with pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive.

Finally, a layer of 130um release plastic liner adds an extra level of quality to our wrap films. This plastic liner ensures a smoother, super glossy, and lustrous finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is RAXTiFY vinyl easy to install?

RAXTiFY vinyl wrap is designed with air release channels to help reduce bubbles during installation, making it suitable for both professional installers and experienced DIY users.

However, installation difficulty may vary depending on the vehicle shape, surface condition, film finish, and installer experience. Full vehicle wraps, deep curves, bumpers, mirrors, chrome finishes, carbon fiber films, and other specialty finishes may require professional installation for the best result.

Can I order a sample before buying a full roll?

Yes. We recommend ordering a Small Size Sample before purchasing a full roll, especially if you are comparing colors or finishes.

Vinyl wrap color can look different under sunlight, shade, indoor lighting, camera settings, screen display, and different vehicle body lines. A sample helps you check the real color, finish, and texture before starting your wrap project.

Does this vinyl wrap come with a warranty?

Most RAXTiFY vinyl wraps come with a 2-year limited warranty against confirmed product-related defects.

This warranty does not cover improper installation, overheating, overstretching, scratches, accidents, harsh chemicals, normal wear and tear, environmental damage, paint damage during removal, or issues caused by poor surface condition.

Some specialty finishes, including chrome and 3D/5D/6D carbon fiber vinyl wraps, may not be eligible for the standard 2-year limited warranty.

For full details, please read our RAXTiFY Warranty Policy.

How long does this vinyl wrap last?

RAXTiFY vinyl wrap is designed to last approximately 2–3 years with proper installation and regular care.

Actual lifespan may vary depending on the film series, finish, climate, UV exposure, parking conditions, washing habits, and overall vehicle surface condition. Vehicles parked indoors or in shaded areas may help maintain the wrap’s appearance for longer.

How do I care for this vinyl wrap?

For best results, hand wash the wrapped vehicle with clean water, pH-neutral soap, and a soft microfiber mitt or sponge. Dry the surface with a clean microfiber towel after washing.

Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, automatic car washes, polishing compounds, fuel spills, and high-pressure washing directly on film edges. Long-term exposure to intense sunlight, heat, rain, snow, dust, and pollution may affect the finish over time.

Can I remove this vinyl wrap later?

Yes. RAXTiFY vinyl wrap can be removed later when it is properly heated and removed with care.

Our vinyl wrap is designed to be removable without damaging factory OEM paint that is in good condition. For the safest result, we recommend professional removal, especially for full vehicle wraps, older installations, or vehicles with unknown paint history.

Please note that paint condition matters. Repainted surfaces, peeling clear coat, rust, dents, scratches, weak paint, or improper removal may increase the risk of paint damage.
