1. Top Protective film is included only on full rolls (59ft) of gloss vinyls.
For smaller, pre-cut pieces of glossy vinyl, the protective film is removed before shipping to ensure a smooth surface without air bubbles or creases. This does not affect the quality of the vinyl.
All matte/ satin vinyl wraps do not have a protective film, as their surface is naturally resistant to minor scratches and does not require additional protection.

Vinyl Film Structure
Our mirror chrome wrap films consist of 4 layers designed to ensure exceptional performance.
The first layer serves as a protective barrier for the underlying vinyl.
Directly beneath, you'll find high-grade polymeric vinyl fortified with pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive.
Finally, a layer of 130um release papper liner adds an extra level of quality to our wrap films.
Everything You Need to Know Before Buying Mirror Chrome Vinyl Wrap
Mirror chrome vinyl creates one of the most reflective and dramatic finishes available, but it is also more demanding to install and maintain than standard gloss, matte, or metallic vinyl. Before purchasing, it is important to understand its limited stretchability, installation requirements, expected service life, and maintenance needs.
Professional Installation Is Strongly Recommended
Mirror chrome vinyl is significantly less forgiving than standard color-change film. Its highly reflective surface can make wrinkles, stretch marks, seams, and installation imperfections easier to see.
For full vehicle wraps, we strongly recommend installation by a professional who has experience working specifically with chrome vinyl.
Limited Stretchability
Mirror chrome vinyl has very limited stretchability compared with conventional automotive wrap film. Excessive stretching can distort the reflective finish, create surface irregularities, or reduce color consistency.
Splicing may be required on large curves, bumpers, deep recesses, and complex contours.
Installers should use controlled tension and avoid treating mirror chrome like a standard gloss vinyl.
Precision Matters During Installation
Surface preparation, panel alignment, heat control, edge finishing, and post-heating all require extra attention when installing mirror chrome.
Because the surface is highly reflective, even small installation imperfections may be more visible than they would be on a standard gloss or matte finish.
Shorter Outdoor Service Life
Mirror chrome is intended primarily for show cars, custom builds, accents, and short-term high-impact applications.
Expected outdoor service life is approximately 3–6 months, depending on UV exposure, climate, installation quality, parking conditions, and maintenance.
This refers to the film's service life after installation and should not be confused with its unopened shelf life.
More Care Is Required
Mirror chrome surfaces are more sensitive to scratches, chemicals, contamination, and aggressive washing methods.
For best results:
- Hand wash with pH-neutral automotive shampoo
- Use soft microfiber materials
- Avoid automatic brush car washes
- Avoid abrasive polish and strong solvents
- Remove bird droppings, tree sap, fuel residue, and other contaminants promptly
- Garage or shaded parking is strongly recommended
Warranty Limitations
Mirror chrome is a specialty vinyl finish and may not be covered by the same warranty terms as standard RAXTiFY color-change vinyl.
Damage caused by improper installation, overstretching, overheating, scratches, environmental exposure, incorrect maintenance, or normal deterioration of the chrome surface is not covered.
